I loved my experience with James Allen!! I will be the first to admit that I was a little hesitant to order an engagement ring online, especially without ever seeing it in person first, but I am so glad I did! From my first phone call to James Allen I felt at ease and each person I spoke to was helpful and provided excellent customer service. When my ring arrived I was ecstatic, and it was even prettier in person than I had imagined. I unfortunately ordered a 1/2 size too big, and was upset at the thought of sending my ring back to be resized, especially because the estimated time to be finished was 2 weeks (and now that i saw how beautiful the ring looked on my hand, I really didn't want to tak it off, lol). But I was pleasantly surprised when I got my ring back in only 5 days. I shipped it back to James Allen on Monday evening, and had it back on my hand that Friday, and it did not cost me a penny!!
I will be ordering my wedding ring that matches my engagement ring from James Allen as well, and am confident the process will be just as great! I have also referred my sister to James Allen now that she has started her search for a ring, and although she did not find exactly what she was looking for on the James Allen website, I asked my account manager if their design team could work with her to design something similar and she said absolutely, just have her contact them when she is ready! I have no doubt they will work with her to get her exactly what she wants!! And just to add to that, I recently went shopping with my sister to a few local jewelry stores and the prices they were charging for diamonds were INSANE!! And it would be one thing if the color, cut, clarity and size were comparable to what I found on James Allen, but they weren't even close...I did a lot of research and a lot of online shopping of loose diamonds before buying my ring and James Allen could not be beat, and they were the only website I found that allowed you to view the actual diamond, rather than a sample picture...this is a fantastic feature that really helped me in deciding exactly which diamond I wanted!! .
Again, I can't say enough about the quality of my ring and outstanding customer service I have received throughout my entire process with James Allen!! My ring is exactly what I wanted and I love it!! Thank you James Allen!!

To describe my experience in dealing with JamesAllen I'd need to write a book. I can't say how pleasant it was working with Stacey E. She was by far the most helpful in any shopping experience I have ever had period! I originally talked with her over a year ago when I 1st was going to buy a ring she was very friendly and her attitude was one that could just make a room of gloom vanish as soon as she walked in. I enjoyed working with her then but some life situation came up and I was unable to proceed with my dream at the time. So when I logged back into the online chat room and saw her name I was like "Its a sign" and I must say this time around was even better (mainly because I was able to buy the ring). Stacy helped me from start to finish. She did everything in her power to make sure I had the BEST! She went above and beyond the call of a sales associate, she treated me more like a best friend from childhood rather then a customer, which I think is a very strong characteristic to have. I wish all my encounters with sales representatives could at least be a tenth as good as it was working with her. There was never a time in the whole process where I felt she didn't care about my end goal. I will defiantly send anyone thinking about purchasing a ring to JamesAllen and have them request her. Like I said I can write a book, thanks so much for all the help!!! =D
Good progression to buying a ring online
I purchased a Wedding ring for my wife. We both jointly lost her engagement ring (long story) and her being pregnant (1 week away), I needed a quick replacement or face the wrath of pregnancy hormones at it's best.
Ordering: I ordered a 1.5k diamond/eternity ring. I really liked the ordering process. Being able to not only choose the karats and see the pricing, but also the 3D images and viewing options were really helpful. The main drawback of this customization is the limited creativity with design of setting and diamond cut are limited. I guess that's too much to hope for.
Also, shipping date is provided on the web page while creating the ring. This was also helpful as i needed the ring quick.
Customer service: Upon ordering, I received a email confirmation from Miriam detailing what I ordered, when to expect it, and who to call/email if I have questions or concerns. I ordered on Tuesday, while the date on the shipping said Friday, I asked Miriam if we could receive on Friday. She said she would see what she could do. She did it, it came on Friday!
Price: Seems to be better pricing than Blue Nile. While Blue Nile seems to me to be a bit more of a 5 star store, for some reason, i feel James Allen is a notch below, 4 starish. However, comparing similar ring styles, we got more carats for a similar price (1.25k compared to 1.49k) and higher clarity diamonds too.
Conclusion: After getting the ring, I do think it's a little boring. However, I sparkles and shines with quality. I would consider them again or tell others to shop here.
Unbeatable Experience!
i have dealt with this company on two occassions - to purchase an engagement ring and to purchase the wedding band. Their customer service is impeccable, from the shopping experience itself, to the support throughout the process, to the returns process, to ring resizing, etc. I cannot say enough good things about them. I have walked away each time completely satisified with my experience and so happy with my product (and my fiance would "vouch" for that as well). This is a top notch company.
I would like, in particular, to note how helpful Stacy E. and Christina R. were - this process wouldn't have gone half as smoothly without their help.
